New Standard to fast-track global trade

Following on from our article dated 26th October, we are pleased to announce that the European Security Fog Device Standard (EN 50131-8) has been approved by the international standards body, IEC, to become an International Standard.

The international security fog device standard will have the following number and title when it is published within the next 3 months: IEC 62642-8 - Intrusion and Hold up device systems - Part 8: Security fog device/systems.

The IEC 62642 series is the international standards series for intrusion & holdup alarm systems and is the international equivalent to the European EN 50131 series.

Having an internationally recognised standard will have a major, positive influence on global trade for the security system and intruder alarm industries.
